hiblocks Co., Ltd and Korea Manhwa Contents Agency, also known as KOMACON, have officially established a strategic partnership. Both parties plan to foster global talent and seek for contents in the comics category. In addition, they plan to collaborate with businesses in the related fields with global content (OTT and similar companies).
The KOMACON is an organization that support the Korean comics culture and develop the industry. They manage and support comics galleries, comics museums, academy halls, while also conducting comics industry related R&D.
Meanwhile, hiblocks is preparing the launch of its own NFT marketplace on HABL, the social media application developed and operated by the company. The launch is expected to take place soon after acquiring the Virtual Asset Service Provider license.
A selection of comics IP and various digital content IP owned by the KOMICON are scheduled to be recreated as NFT artworks that will be available for global users. In addition, artists can sell, introduce, and promote their NFTs on the HABL app. Both hiblocks and KOMACON have high expectations and hope to accomplish new goals hand in hand for the comic industry.
